BOOK BARNS AT THE DORMANN

The Book Barns are open for the season, weather permitting. Hours vary, so stop by or call the library to inquire about the schedule.

The Dormann Library Book Barns, manned by Michael Stryker, sell donated and discarded books to raise money for the library. So far, for the 2022 season, the community’s generous support has raised over $5,000! We have used this money to purchase items such as our huge inflatable movie screen, public charging station, a laminator, and many craft supplies for youth, teen and adult programming. Thank you to all who have donated!

We greatly appreciate donations of gently used books, but due to space constraints, we currently are able to accept only limited donations of books. One box per person will be allowed. All materials must be in very good condition and no more than ten years old.

800 Book Barn Policy Approved 2/15/2011
Material weeded from the library collection and gift books which will not be added to the library collection will be put in the Book Barn for sale or disposed of through other means. Activities of the Book Barn will be supervised by a member of the library Board of Trustees. All proceeds will go into the general library fund and be used to purchase new material for the library.
