Library Policies
The following has been proposed as an update to the current Dormann Library By-Laws, to be voted on at the next regular meeting:
“The library shall be governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board shall consist of not less than nine nor more than fifteen members; the exact number of trustees to be set by resolution of the Board, which will be filed with the New York State Education Department and which is currently nine (9). The term of office of trustees shall be three years and shall be limited to three successive terms.”
This change would reduce the intended size of the board from 11 trustees to 9.

These policies have been under rigorous review over the last year. The board has reviewed approximately half of the policies in the policy manual during this time. For ease of access and updates these have been separated into two files labeled below.
